Further inspection marks include \u003cstrong\u003e“JC”\u003c\/strong\u003e punches, consistent with \u003cstrong\u003eJean Cazamajou\u003c\/strong\u003e, helping place the sword around \u003cstrong\u003e1809–1811\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe curved single-edged blade retains heavy age patination and corrosion, with the original spine inscription now largely lost, but the surviving inspection and arsenal marks give the piece strong Napoleonic-period character.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA genuine early-19th-century French military sidearm of the type carried by infantrymen throughout the Napoleonic Wars.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOriginal antique condition with age-related wear, marks, patina and surface oxidation as shown.
