Original Australian Pattern 1907 bayonet, dated 11/44 and marked MA, dating it to Australian wartime production in November 1944.
Standard P1907 form with long single-edged blade, hooked muzzle-ring guard and wooden grip scales, intended for use with the SMLE / No.1 Mk III rifle. Additional inspection and acceptance markings are present to the ricasso.
A good original WWII Australian military bayonet, with clear wartime markings and strong collector appeal. Absent scabbard.
Original vintage condition with age-related wear, marks, patina and surface oxidation as shown. Excellent blade. Please study all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
