Tranter Model 4, 54 bore Percussion pistol

A lovely original 1860's antique Tranter 54 bore Model 4 percussion pistol. 

Retaining much of its original finish and retained by Robert S Garden at 200 Piccadilly London. 

Good chequered grips. 

This is a fairly large pistol, likely used as a private purchase officers pistol in the 1860-70 time period. Serious presence. 

Sold as an antique obsolete calibre curio/ornament under Section 58 GB.  

Small repair required to the cylinder pin as its head is snapped off, it remains present, likely repairable or a replacement part would not be hard to have made. Common on these as they are a fairly repeatedly stressed component on 160 year old metal.
